Russia will deploy the Kuriles onshore Bastion

Russia will deploy in the Kuril Islands mobile coastal missile system "Bastion", equipped with supersonic anti-ship cruise missiles Yakhont, Interfax reported, citing a source in Russia's General Staff. It will be used to protect the coast Kuriles. The exact number of complexes, scheduled for delivery in the Kuril Islands, not specified.
"Bastion" is intended to cover the coastline length of 600 kilometers. The complex can be used to defeat surface ships of various types, as well as radio-goals under intense fire and electronic countermeasures.
Maximum ammunition complex is 24 missiles. Rockets can be carried out at intervals of 2.5 seconds.
The structure consists of a complex missile in transport-launch container, self-propelled launchers, machine command and control, transport and loading vehicle, car security alert, and helicopter target acquisition range. Deployment time of the complex from the stowed position is about five minutes.
In turn, cruise missiles, "Yakhont capable of speeds up to 750 meters per second, and hit targets at ranges up to 300 kilometers. Rockets have a horizon range and are self-guided.
